UK Self Guided Activity Holidays


The UK offers some spectacular activity holidays due to vast expanding views and altering terrain. The north of Scotland offers windswept walks with amazing views over rural landscapes and further south you can enjoy the taste of the Cornish pasty.

Located off the western coast of Scotland, Lona is a tiny island within the Inner Hebrides. Renowned for its calm and tranquil beauty walking around its windswept shores will inspire any avid walker to peer into its history. A burial place for the most noble kings in Scotland for hundreds of years, Lona is a mile from Mull and at just 3.5 miles across allows for a pleasant day walk.


Most visitors who visit Lona visit the Lona Abbey, a tiny church dating back to pre-Christian times.


To the southern parts of the UK around Cornwall, boasts a wealth of walks to keep you active during your holiday. One area not to be missed is the area of Tintagel, located to the North of Cornwall. A regular day walk will take you to the popular Tintagel Church, situated on the cliffs just outside the village. The walk continues down, past the church to Trebarwith Strand Cove, passing historic landmarks and viewpoints including primroses and blossoming bushes in the spring months of May and April. At the end of the walk nearing the beach, you can relax and enjoy a drink at the fantastic Port William Inn, taking in the amazing views they have on offer, dogs allowed.
